Section A Shakespeare – Macbeth
Choose two of the passages (a) to (c) and answer briefly.
Section A Carries 25 marks
Section B Carries 25 marks each
Section B has essay type questions from the three prescribed text books – Macbeth, ISC Poetry, Timeless short stories. Three essays to be attempted.

Theory (Paper 1)

Section- A (20 marks)(Compulsory)

I. 10 questions – each carries 1 mark: (1 x 10=10)
II. 5 questions – each carries 2 marks (2 x 5 =10)

Section- B (50 marks)(Option)

Five questions to be attempted out of 9 questions

Each question is divided into 2 sections,
Total of two sections will be 10 marks.

Mathematics

Time : 3 hrs + 15 min. reading time

There will be one paper of three hours duration of 100 marks. The paper consists of three Sections A, B, C. Section A is compulsory for all candidates. Candidates will have a choice of attempting questions from either Section B or Section C.

Section A (80 marks) will consist of 9 questions. Candidates will be required to answer

Question 1 (compulsory) and five out of eight questions.

Section B/C (20 marks). Candidates will have to answer two questions out of three from either Section B or Section C

Question Patterns

They will not be allowed to write during the first 15 minutes. Paper I theory in divided into 2 parts.

There are two papers .
Paper I : Theory 3 hrs : 70 marks.
Paper II : Practical 3 hrs : 20 marks.
Project work : 7 marks.
Practical file : 3 marks .


Paper I – Theory – 70 marks.
Paper I is divided in to two parts .
Part I (20 marks) – It consist of compulsory short answer questions, testing knowledge, application and skills relating to elementary .
fundamental aspects of entries syllabus (20 x 1 = 20 marks).

Part II (50 marks):- It is divided into three sections A, B & C.
Section A (18 marks ) – 3 questions of a marks will be given . Answer any
Two questions
Section B ( 16 marks).- 3 questions of 8 marks will be given . Answer any two.
Section C ( 16 marks).- 3 questions of 8 marks will be given . Answer any two.

Paper II – 20 marks
i.Experiments based on ray optics
ii.Experiments based on current electricity

Chemistry
There will be two papers

Paper 1: Theory

Time:3 hours Marks :70 marks
They will not be allowed to write during the first 15 minutes. Paper I theory in divided into 2 parts.
Part 1 (20 marks) will consist of compulsory short answer questions testing knowledge, application and skills relating to elementary
fundamental aspects of the entire syllabus.

Part II ( 50 marks) will be divided into 3 sections, A,B and C candidates are required to answer two out of three questions from section A
each carrying 9 marks, two out of three questions from section B each carrying 7 marks and two out of three questions from section C each carrying 9 marks. Therefore, a total of six questions are to be answered in Part II.

Computer Science

There will be a written paper of 3 hours duration comprising of 100 marks.
The paper will be divided into 2 sections, Part I and Part II.
Part I (Compulsory – 30 marks)
This part will consist of 3 compulsory short answer questions, comprising of 10 marks each.
Part II (70 marks)
This part is divided into two sections, A and B . Candidates must answer three questions out of five from section A and four questions out of six from section B. Each question in this part carries 10 marks each.

Paper II Practical – 3 hours – 100 marks will be evaluated by the teacher and visiting examiner.

Candidates will be required to submit a work file containing the practical work.
